INTERN OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Intern of the Year Award will be presented to a school counseling intern currently completing their practicum in the 2026 - 2027 school year. Anyone at the internship site may nominate the intern for this award.

RECOGNITION CRITERIA

  • This counselor has taken leadership initiatives at their site.

  • This counselor is connected with students and families.

  • This counselor is a contributing member of the counseling team at their site. 

  • This counselor holds high moral standards in their personal & professional conduct at their site.

  • This counselor supports the social/emotional development of students at their site.

  • This counselor is a member of the VTSCA.

VERMONT SCHOOL COUNSELOR ASSOCIATION

The Vermont School Counselor Association (VTSCA) expands the image and influence of professional school counselors through advocacy, leadership, collaboration and systemic change. VTSCA empowers professional school counselors with the knowledge, skills, linkages, and resources to promote student success in the school, the home, the community, and the world. VTSCA is the chartered state division of the American School Counselor Association.
